On a Monday afternoon I walked down the stairs in to UIC. I was going to the reading clinic when I turned my head and I saw a pop machine. I was very thirsty and I wanted some water. And my luck, I had $2.
I walked over there to get some pop. Then, I put my money in. I waited until I found what I wanted and I pushed the button. It said $1.50 on the screen, and nothing came out. I said, “I just put $2 in here and nothing came out.” Then I shook the machine but nothing still came out. I was very upset. I was so mad that I could have broken the machine.
Then I came to the reading clinic to learn, but I was still mad about my money. But I got over it when I found $10 outside after I went home.
I’m bored, let’s play ball, said Max. The house is swept, the dishes clean. Tim said, “But Max, you only have one toy. Max said, “So let’s play ball.” Tim said, “We did that yesterday.” Max said, “Play ball.” “Fine.” “Yay.” Jim said, “No ball. Not in the back yard, at least.” Max said, “We can’t go out front without a parent.” “Then no ball,” said Jim. “Why not the backyard?” “I’m doing something there,” Jim said. “Come on, we’ll sneak into the backyard to play ball,” said Max. “Come on, Jim’s back is turned.” “Come on.” “Ok.” “Now hide, Jim is coming,” said Max. “What?” “Hi,” Jim said. “Ok, now I’ll give you a boost. Climb over the fence.” “No you do it.” “But I’m heavier than you.” “Fine.” “Ok, I’m over.” “Here I come. Oh. I’m stuck, get Jim.” Back inside. “Now the garage. I’ll fit.” “You know the code. No. I don’t.” “Call Jim.” “Now out the window.” “I’m afraid of heights.” “Let’s go down the rope. Ok.” “Do you have a dog? No. Wrong backyard. Go go go!”
Chicago Illinois is packed with cars and people. Anna knows what is happening in her class. She doesn’t like homework because it is hard. Also it takes too much of the day.
Anna is tiered because there are so many stairs to get to her 8th grade classroom on the top floor. During math Anna asked, “What is the answer for number 9?” Bob said “, no that’s cheating.” He went to get a drink water. Anna crept over and looked at his paper and got the answer.
After school she went to her pink room. She was reading her book in her room and she started to blare off and she did not know what she read. Five minutes later her friend came over and they were doing their reading homework. Pate asked, “Did you do your homework?” Anna said, “I was reading it but I fell asleep. I am so sorry. Can I copy you, please?” She said, “YES.”
The next day she went to school and the teacher called her to his desk and said, “Can I see your homework. Also, explain your work?” Anna got scared. She stood there silent for ten seconds and brought the teacher the homework that she copied. The teacher said, “Be honest, did you copy?” Anna said, “I didn’t copy.” The teacher said, “You look weird. Are you telling the truth? If you don’t tell the truth you will be punished and I’m going to call your mom.” Anna admitted that she copied off of Pat.
The teacher said “Pate come to my desk NOW.” The teacher asked, ”Why did you let Anna copy you.” Pate said, “I don’t know.” Anna felt sad because she was going to be punished. The teacher said, “Why didn’t you tell me in the first place?” Now the teacher doesn’t believe Anna anymore. So every time they have work to do she has to sit in the corner by herself doing her work.
The mom was talking to the teacher and the teacher gave the mom websites to check out and the mom liked the Homework Clinic. Anna liked it too. Anna liked the Clinic because she did her homework. Also she did not have an attitude any more. She liked the books and the stories. She knows what is going to happen to her if she copies again.
I wake up that morning and I had a birthday outfit. It was green and had a green hat and some blue jeans and some shoes. When I walk in to my classroom every body said happy birthday Keante I was so happy it was my day. Later it was lunchtime and my mom bring cupcakes up to the school and they song happy birthday to me. My mom told me that she was get me out of school early but when that time came it was 5 min early. But we stay up there for the 5 min cause my mom talk to her friend. When we got into the car, I ask who going to key lime cove with me she said “your friend Nia is come and your little brother” did I said “is my little sister going?” my mom said “No” and I was like “yes”. Than my mom said let go home and get ready. When we got home my mom got the bag out so I could get my closet. When I got done my mom came in to help me then she call my dad and said can you pick Kyrell up from my grandma house after you get off of work he said ok. Then I heard the bell ring it was my friend Nia at the door I was so happy she came. When she came in I “said are u ready to have fun” she said yes. We are wait for my dad to get home. He finally got home he said hold on let me take a shower then I gave him a mad face. So I wait until he got done finally he say let go so we went outside to get in the car. I bought movie to watch in the care. It was about a 1hour diver but it feel like it was 5 hour diver. Then we got lost it was so dark. Did my dad turn back around. We went back to sleep hen we woke back up we was there I ws so happy that I was jumper up and down. My mom had to go check us in are room. When my mom came back she said we can go to are room and put are bag down. When settle down I said lets go to the pool but my mom said it is closter I was upset but my mom said we can go tomorrow. But my mom said we can go to the game room I said ok. We went down to the game room when we got there I said I want some food so my dad went to go and get food for us my brother and my friend ran to the game room we all and funny did it was time to go back to the room. When we walk in it was pizza and hot wing all over the place
She’s rude. She rolls her eyes. She makes mean comments. She thinks everyone likes her. She thinks she’s better than everyone. She has lots of money so of course she brags about all the things she has. And… worst of all, she is a friend of Susan’s. “Come on Susan lets go to the beach”, I said. “Ummmm I think I’m going to the movies with Macka,” said Susan. “But we were supposed to go surfing today,” I said. “Sorry,” Susan said.
I can’t believe what she just said. She knows I do not like that Macka of hers and she ditches me for her!
Its getting late I thought to myself I should be getting home even though its 3:00pm. Suddenly I had an idea but I had to ask for permission first. “I’m going to go to the movies!” As I walked home I thought why would Susan make plans when she already had plans with me? I open up the door and screamed, “Mom mom where are you?” “Your mom is not here.” Uncle Tom said. (By the way he smells like fish water but back to the story!!)
“Where is she?” I asked. “Umm I think she went shopping,” Uncle Tom said. “Ohhhhh,” I said. “Can I go to the movies? Please please.” “Who’s going with you?” Uncle Tom asked. ummm. (I didn’t want lie but this is serious I thought to my self).
I said Susan really fast are you sure uncle tom questioned yes I said holding my breath. well sure you can go uncle tom said . Yes! As I rushed to the movie theater I wonder what movie are they going to go see they have been talking about that Elvis movie a lot hummmmm maybe Beach girls. “1 ticket for beach girls please” that will be $6 the ticket booth person said 1 large popcorn $7.99 the clerk said. Beach girls here I come. I see them front row seats laughing I don’t get what’s so funny. As the lights started to go out I tried to get closer so I cant her what there saying. They are laughing having fun I kicked the seat oops! I said Macka looked back I covered my face with the popcorn bag after a while I saw Terra and Ano this must be a date I said very angry why wouldn’t Susan invite me I thought to my self. This does not make any sense the movie went on for about 1 hour and I started to lose focus. I was too interested in the movie. I think that macka saw me when she looked back she looked weird and turned around as if she didn’t want to see me .I hope she doesn’t think I’m stocking her out of all things the movie is finally over. I went to go throw away my popcorn bag and guess who I ran into? Macka yea her she was going to say something rude I felt it in my soul but then Susan popped up and macka said “ohhhh hey maylo what are you doing here I stuttered I came to see beach girls. How about you what are you doing here I asked macka “ummmm I’m here with my friends.” yea said Susan. “Were all going to my house after this you want to come” said Susan as macka shuck her head no. (I thought to myself this is my chance to tell Susan how I really feel and change the relationship between Susan and Macka)but I thought maybe I should try to be friends with her I could not stand the bright shine of her white clothes but she must have paid a fortune for them. Some stupid old man tripped and splashed coca everywhere but guess what I did I saved the girls life not her life but her clothes you know what I mean
AND THAT’S HOW IT HAPPENED! I became friends with Macka!!
Once there were two friends named Sally and Ned talking in a park. So lazy man was at the door and tried to open the door, So lazy man’s buddy mouse Nibbles was holding the key then nibbles opened the door for lazy man then lazy man found a recipe of how to bake cake. So lazy man tried to read. When lazy man wasn’t looking there was soda that was spilled, Then “Woops!” said lazy man he slipped So what went flying was the recipe so nibbles tried to catch it… But too late it burned up.
So then lazy man’s mood was all blue Then Nibbles the mouse started brainstorming… Then happily Nibbles snapped his fingers and had a brilliant idea. So Nibbles took out some sticky notes and one pencil hanging on the tail. Then Nibbles started writing a little recipe and started cooking cake “Wow Nibbles That’s one brilliant idea!” said lazy man.
When the cake was finished lazy man and Nibbles took the cake to the car So instead of taking the cake to the random people he decided to take to his friends And then Nibbles started driving the car. When lazy man got to his friends house he opened the door and… There Was A Party! And all lazy man’s friends said “Happy Birthday Lazy Man!” And then all lazy man’s friends started playing games then it was cake time. After cake time lazy man and Nibbles did fist bump.

Climb over the fence.” “No you do it.” “But I’m heavier than you.” “Fine.” “Ok, I’m over.” “Here I come. Oh.” “I’m stuck, get Jim.” The red fence stood like it was cemented down. Back inside. “Now the white garage.” “You know the code. I wrote it down.” “I forgot the paper.” “Call Jim.” “Now out the window,” said Max. “I’m afraid of heights,” Tim said in a scared voice. “Let’s go down the rope. Ok.” The rope was old and not sturdy. “Do you have a dog?” Tim said. “No.” “Wrong backyard go, go, go!”

I was playing in it, then I got out and watched TV then I fell asleep. The next morning I was jumping up because I could go the pool now so I woke my mom, dad, brother and my friend up. But my mom said it was 9:00 am still, we can get ready at 10:30, so I was waiting and waiting until I looked at the time and it said 10:30. So I said, “it’s 10:30.” We got ready. After every body was ready we left the room and went to the swimming pool. Wen I got inside the man said” can I see your wrist band” I let him see it then I saw a lot of water so my dad said lets go find a spot to put our thing down. When we found a spot I said could we go get in the water? My mom said yes so I went with my friend. we got in to the wave pool with tube. When we got around I saw a basketball flying, so I got out of the tube. I went up some little stairs and I saw people playing basketball. I stayed in there for the whole time. Then it was time to go check out. I was sad but then we went to Fridays to eat. It was good. After that we went to go get my sister from my grandma’s house. My grandma asked me, “How was it?” I said, ”it was good.” after that I had to take my friend back home. I told her that I had a good time. Then I went home to take a shower and then I got in bed.

Then Nibbles the mouse started brainstorming…
Then happily Nibbles snapped his fingers and had a brilliant idea.
So Nibbles took out some sticky notes and one pencil hanging on the tail.
Then Nibbles started writing a little recipe and started cooking cake
“Wow Nibbles That’s one brilliant idea!” said lazy man.
When the cake was finished lazy man and Nibbles took the cake to the car
So instead of taking the cake to the random people he decided to take to his friends
And then Nibbles started driving the car. When lazy man got to his friends house he opened the door and… There Was A Party! And all lazy man’s friends said “Happy Birthday Lazy Man!”
And then all lazy man’s friends started playing games then it was cake time.
After cake time lazy man and Nibbles did fist bump.

Once there were two friends named Sally and Ned talking in a park. Ned said “Hey Sally you should join my party Saturday.” Then Sally said “Ok Ned!” Then the two kept on talking about the party.
All of the sudden a strange man was walking and heard something.
Just before Ned could say who can bake the cake a man named Lazy Man said “Lazy man is right at your side.” Then quicky as lightning Lazy Man ran.
When he was close to his house Lazy Man got tired from running,
Then Lazy Man took out a soda can out from his pocket and held it.
He was at the door and tried to open it. Did he open it? No! He couldn’t open the door because the key was missing.
Lazy Man’s buddy mouse Nibbles found the key on the ground and picked it up. Then Nibbles opened the door for him. Lazy Man found a recipe of how to bake cake.
Lazy Man tried to read. But he didn’t know how. He opened his soda and accidently spilled on the floor.
When Lazy Man wasn’t looking there was soda that was spilled.
“Woops!” yelled Lazy Man when he slipped.
The recipe went flying so Nibbles tried to catch it…
But too late it burned up. Then Lazy Man’s mood was all blue. Nibbles the mouse started brainstorming…

Instead of taking the cake to the random people he decided to take to his friends.
Nibbles started driving the car. When Lazy Man got to his friends house he opened the door and… There was a party! And all Lazy Man’s friends said “Happy Birthday Lazy Man!”
And then all Lazy Man’s friends started playing games. Then it was cake time.
After cake time Lazy Man and Nibbles did fist bump because they both did a good job on their cake.
Gotta Play Ball

“I’m bored, let’s play ball,” said Max. “The house is swept, the dishes are clean I cleaned it all.”
Tim commented, “But Max, you only have one toy.
Max said, “So let’s play ball.”
Tim said, “We did that yesterday.”
Max murmured, “Play ball.”
“Fine.”
“Yyyaaaayyyy.”
Jim said, “No ball. Not in the back yard, at least.”
Max said, “We can’t go out front without a parent.”
“Then no ball,” said Jim slyly.
“Why not the backyard?”
“I’m doing something there,” Jim said. When Jim was walking away, he said, “not really ha, ha.”
“Come on, we’ll sneak into the backyard to play ball,” said Max.
“Come on, Jim’s back is turned.”
“Come on.”
“Ok.” Max and Tim scurried across the kitchen.
“Now hide, Jim is coming,” said Max.
“What?”
Jim opened the door and went to look outside and saw them standing right outside the door.
“Hi,” Jim said.
They were in the gangway and they were right behind the fence and no one was looking and Jim wasn’t there.
“Ok, now I’ll give you a boost. Climb over the fence.”
“No you do it.”
“But I’m heavier than you.”
“Fine.”
“Ok, I’m over.”
“Here I come. Oh.”
“I’m stuck, get Jim.”
The red fence stood like it was cemented down.
Back inside.
“Now the white garage.”
“You know the code. I wrote it down.”
“I forgot the paper.”
“Call Jim.”
“Now out the window,” said Max.
“I’m afraid of heights,” Tim said in a scared voice.
“Let’s go down the rope. Ok.”
The rope was old and not sturdy.
“Do you have a dog?” Tim said.
“No.”
“Wrong backyard go, go, go!”
My 8th birthday

I woke up that morning and I had a birthday outfit. It was green, had a green hat and some blue jeans and shoes. When I walked in to my classroom, everybody said, “Happy birthday Keante!” I was so happy it was my day. Later it was lunchtime and my mom brought cupcakes up to the school and they sang happy birthday to me. My mom told me that she was getting me out of school early but when that time came, it was 5 min early. But we stayed there for 5 min because my mom talked to her friend. When we got into the car, I asked who was going to Key Lime Cove with me. She said “Your friend Nia is coming and your little brother.” Then I said, “Is my little sister going?” My mom said “No”, and I was like “Yes!” Then my mom said, “lets go home and get ready.” When we got home, my mom got the bag out so I could get my clothes. When I got done my mom came in to help me, then she called my dad and said, “Can you pick Kyrell up from my grandma’s house after you get off of worked?” He said “ok.” Then I heard the bell ring. It was my friend Nia at the door. I was so happy she came. When she came in I said ”are u ready to have fun?” she said, “yes.”
We waited for my dad to get home. He finally got home and he said, “Hold on, let me take a shower.” Then I gave him a mad face. So I waited until he got done. Finally he said, “Let’s go.” So we went outside to get in the car. I brought movies to watch in the car. It was about a 1-hour drive but it felt like it was a 5-hour drive. Then, we got lost. It was so dark. Then my dad turned back around and we were back on track. We went back to sleep. When we woke back up we were there. I was so happy that I was jumping up and down. My mom had to go check us in our room. When my mom came back, she said we could go to the room and put our bags down. When we settled down I said, “Lets go to the pool” but my mom said it is closed. I was upset but my mom said we could go tomorrow. My mom said we could go to the game room. I said ok. We went down to the game room. When we got there I said, “I want some food”, so my dad went to go and get food for us. My brother and my friend ran to the game room. We all had fun. Then it was time to go back to the room. When we walked in there was pizza and hot wings all over the place. I was happy because I wanted some food badly. When I ate my mom said to get in the shower. So I got in. I was playing in it, then I got out and watched TV then I fell asleep. The next morning I was jumping up because I could go the pool now so I woke my mom, dad, brother and my friend up. But my mom said it was 9:00 am still, we can get ready at 10:30, so I was waiting and waiting until I looked at the time and it said 10:30. So I said, “it’s 10:30.” We got ready. After every body was ready we left the room and went to the swimming pool. Wen I got inside the man said” can I see your wrist band” I let him see it then I saw a lot of water so my dad said lets go find a spot to put our thing down. When we found a spot I said could we go get in the water? My mom said yes so I went with my friend. we got in to the wave pool with tube. When we got around I saw a basketball flying, so I got out of the tube. I went up some little stairs and I saw people playing basketball. I stayed in there for the whole time. Then it was time to go check out. I was sad but then we went to Fridays to eat. It was good. After that we went to go get my sister from my grandma’s house. My grandma asked me, “How was it?” I said, ”it was good.” after that I had to take my friend back home. I told her that I had a good time. Then I went home to take a shower and then I got in bed.
